Ahh, summer! The scent of fruit, the thrill of the sea, the theme music, the sun... how many things could I continue to list to describe the hottest season of the year? Well, I'd say quite a few!
For many of us, summer is no walk in the park, you either love it or hate it. And let's face it, scorching heat isn't pleasant for anyone. But, between work commitments, private life and the desire to enjoy the sea, exposure to the sun is almost impossible to avoid (unless you want to turn into vampires and spend three months locked up at home) for this very reason, taking care of our skin and taking a few extra precautions becomes fundamental!
To do this you don't need to waste a lot of time, but these little things added together will make the difference! And trust me, your skin will thank you in the future!
So, what are the 7 good skin care habits to have in summer?
1. Sun protection
(perhaps obvious, but first place goes to her!)
Sunscreen is one of the most important products that you just can't do without. Not only do they protect our skin from UV damage, but they also do a fundamental job in preventing the signs of aging! Such as: dark spots, wrinkles and pigmentation. So imagine how harmful exposure to the sun without a minimum of protection can be for our skin. Tanning is nice, but never forget to always wear sunscreen that has at least a minimum of SPF 30!
2. Hydration
The heat tends to leave the skin dehydrated and dull-looking. Including the use of a good moisturizer in our routine both in the morning and in the evening will help your skin for the better! And, as much as it seems like you have shiny skin 24 hours a day, you should never exclude this step! Rather, to avoid that greasy and unpleasant effect, just opt for a fresh moisturizing cream, based on gel or water, making sure that they have a strong hydrating power! As for the body, however, we can also opt for a richer and less light moisturizing cream, in order to ensure maximum hydration!

After a day spent on the beach or simply exposed to the sun, a nice fresh shower is what you need. But it is clear that this will not be enough for our skin, and this is where our summer ally comes into play: aloe! Aloe vera is a regenerating and refreshing after-sun product, useful for sunburn or simply for a feeling of relaxation and freshness. In some cases, the use of moisturizing creams is not enough, so to help our skin stay fresh and hydrated, we can opt for a light scrub (twice a week is ideal, but if you have sensitive skin once is more than enough!) The scrub will not only make your skin smooth, but it will help remove dead cells and leave you feeling fresh and clean.
6. Makeup: less is the key
The idea of ''giving up'' makeup in the summer can be difficult, which is why the magic word is: LIGHTNESS! What does it mean? Simply, if you opt for less heavy makeup the better! Choose colored bbcreams, cream-based products and setting sprays to keep your skin hydrated and ensure longer duration.
7. Water as an essential source!
Finally, to take care of your skin at the seaside (and beyond), it is very important drink lots of water. Correct hydration starts mainly from the amount of water we take during the day, with high temperatures our body loses more liquids, so it is necessary to replenish them by taking water during the day. Therefore, buy a nice water bottle and never forget to take it with you to ensure a state of general well-being for your skin and body!
