Body positivity: the first step to accepting yourself
Body positivity: the first step to accepting yourself
In a world where unattainable standards of beauty are imposed on us since we were children, the Body Positivity movement was born with the aim of love and acceptance not only towards oneself, but also towards others, eliminating any type of discrimination .
This is not limited only to the weight or type of physicality of the individual, but rather encompasses every single aspect of it, including disability, race and gender identity, encouraging human beings to build trust and accept themselves for who they are, without leave nothing out.

But how did this movement arise?
It begins in 2012, focusing primarily on unrealistic female beauty standards. Over time, more and more people have decided to join together to support the cause, becoming not only the protagonist of many social platforms, but also among the most famous companies, which have developed campaigns that aim at positivity and inclusiveness of every body type .
What are the main reasons?
A bad body image influences a large part of a person's psycho/physical health, many researches state that having a negative body image increases the risk of some mental conditions, including depressionand disorders food, and this is one of the many reasons why the body positivity movement was born.
But what is meant by body image? The concept refers to the subjective perception that a person has of their own body, which can be very different from how it appears in the eyes of others.
The movement, therefore, aims to address these issues by helping people recognize the negative influences that can contribute to a poor self-image, hopefully learning to change the way we feel about our body, replacing negative thought patterns with more realistic ones.
Clearly, none of these things are easy. The process of accepting our body requires continuous effort, but it is not impossible to achieve. There will be times when you feel weak, when you don't like yourself and you will start comparing yourself to the whole world; the key is to focus on doing things that make you feel good about the body you have now! Transform what you consider a ''flaw'' into your strength, because it is something that characterizes you, see it as what makes you precious exactly as you are. Learn to feel special by taking care of yourself, your body and your needs, wear what you like and what makes you feel good, without caring about other people's thoughts, eliminate any type of negative account on social media, rather start following accounts that leave positive vibes, and not those that aim to idealize the perfect body.

Remember that perfection does not exist!
Love yourself and improve yourself if that's what you want and it makes you feel good, not because it's imposed on you. If we stop for even a second to reflect, we are so obsessed with the perfect form that we completely forget that we are much more than bodies!
Let's train our mind to love this shell that accompanies us on earth, that supports us, allows us to dance, travel, run... without pretending to make it perfect or rather "a perfect stereotype".

Every body is a “Bikini Body”
With the arrival of the summer season, it is appropriate to open a small parenthesis on what is considered ''Bikini Body'' or to put it simply, what we call ''swimsuit test' ''. How many times have we said or heard ''I have to arrive perfectly at the swimsuit test'':but does all this really exist? I'm telling you, absolutely not! There is no ideal bikini body, but let's think about it: what is a bikini? According to the dictionary ''Women's two-piece swim and beach costume'', that's all! Nowhere does it say that the bikini was only created for a certain body type, there are no rules that apply to wearing it, you just simply put it on and voilà you have a bikini body! We often forget that the bikini (like every single item of clothing) is specifically made for the body and not vice versa, it's not you who has to wear a bikini or a pair of jeans well, but it's exactly the opposite!

Khloèwants to celebrate with you the beginning of the journey towards accepting who you are, we want you to love your body and be able to show it off with confidence and love!
